Fire strategy
Where CSS are not acting as the ‘Approved Inspector’ on a project we are able to advise the design team and assist with understanding, interpreting and applying the Building Regulations relating to fire to ensure that the freedoms available in the relevant statute are understood and that the design takes advantage of them. It is surprising how much potential innovation is lost through failures to understand this freedom.
How it works
- CSS act as part of the design team to advise in the early stages as to the implications and possibilities in relation to fire related issues
- CSS advise as to whether a fire engineering solution may be possible or relevant
- CSS can liaise with the Fire Engineer as to the development of the solution in regard to Building Regulation compliance
- CSS can assist in negotiations with the Building Control Body and Fire Authority dealing with the project
