CSS act as expert witness for fire risk legal ruling

Carillion Specialist Services (CSS have recently acted as expert witness in a case which potentially affects tens of thousands of flats in university towns and cities around the UK.
Energy Performance Certificates
The Government has issued the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) Regulations 2007 (see Technical Page).
The Government has issued a discussion document “The Future of Building Control” a more detailed consultation document will follow in the Autumn. Details are available at http://www.communities.gov.uk/
The Building Control representative bodies; Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The Association of Building Engineers, Local Authority Building Control and the Association of Consultant Approved Inspectors have joined together as the Building Control Alliance in order to support Government in its work on the future of building control. The Alliance has issued a document outlining its recommendations entitled “A Building Control System for the 21st Century”.
